Society for Empowerment, Service, Training and Awareness – Australia (SESTAA) is an Australian based community organization, formed with the intention to transfer experience, knowledge, skills and resources for the improvement of health and well-being of the disabled and the disadvantaged around the world.
The purposes of the Association are to implement, assist and support projects and activities that promote the health and well-being of the disabled and disadvantaged people in any community.
SESTAA was incorporated as a not-for-profit organization in July 2009 by the Government of Victoria in Australia (Inc. No. A0053304H).
Our vision
To develop a fair world where the disabled and disadvantaged of any community have the ability to exercise their basic rights of equality and opportunity.
Our mission
SESTAA strives to empower the disabled and disadvantaged people to take charge of their lives and have this group of people as an integral part of the community respected by all for their unique contribution to society.
SESTAA seeks to improve the engagement of all individuals in all aspects of society. This is done by facilitating grassroots organisations to increase participation of the disabled and disadvantaged in all aspects of life.
In partnership with public and private organisations, SESTAA seeks to assist the disabled and disadvantaged to take control of their lives. It does this by maximising service effectiveness, linking people with information and building community capacity.
